TOP Oriental & Persian Wool Rugs
These rugs require special care and should not be serviced by inexperienced technicians. Certain colors, such as red, are very sensitive to many cleaning agents, spotters and high water temperatures causing bleeding of the color and fading. High pH cleaning agents or rinses can cause browning of the fibers leaving them stiff and brittle.Youmans Carpet Cleaning offers 3 different, very safe, methods for cleaning your fine wool oriental rugs. (All 3 methods start with a thorough dry vacuuming)
A slightly moist powder is worked into the carpet to absorb the soil. Allowing time for the product to work, it is then vacuumed up with a powerful commercial vacuum.
Encapsulating the soils involves applying a fine mist of a special cleaning agent. It is worked into the carpet and allowed the appropriate drying time (About 30 minutes). Then a thorough vacuuming removes the encapsulated soils.
Warm water extraction is safe and is also the most thorough method of cleaning oriental rugs. A special, citrus based, cleaning agent is applied to the carpet, groomed in to loosen the soils at the base and then flushed and extracted using a neutralizing rinsing agent. A lightweight rotary machine spins a thick, cotton, bonnet pad across the carpet and absorbs most of the remaining moisture. High-speed air movers dry your carpets quickly!
All 3 methods are offered at your home or, if you prefer, I will take them back to my shop. There I will perform your choice of cleaning methods. Then dry and wrap them up in heavy paper to keep them clean. When you are ready, I will deliver them to you at no extra charge!

TOP Commercial Cleaning
There are two methods of Commercial Carpet Cleaning to suit your particular needs. Both start with a thorough commercial vacuuming.
Encapsulation involves applying a fine spray of a special, quick drying, cleaning agent. Using a machine, with 3 counter rotating pads, (to prevent swirl marks) the product is worked into the carpet and allowed to dry. (Usually 30 to 60 minutes depending on the degree of soiling) Then the encapsulated soil is vacuumed up leaving your carpets clean, dry and ready for immediate use!
Steam Extraction is, by far, the most thorough method of giving commercial facilities “Really Clean Carpets”! The carpet is treated to a special, commercial grade, pre-conditioner specially formulated to break down and suspend the soils typically found in a commercial or institutional setting. If the soils in the high-traffic areas are heavily embedded into the fibers I will go over those areas with a rotary machine and a specially designed carpet brush.
TOP Vinyl Tiles (VCT) Cleaning & Refinishing
First a thorough vacuuming, sweeping or dust mopping is performed to remove all dry soils. Then a properly diluted solution of wax stripper and hot water is applied to the floor and allowed to dwell. Once the old wax and embedded soils are suspended they are machine scrubbed and removed with a squeegee and wet-vacuum. A rinsing of the tile to remove any residues leaves the tile ready to receive a 2-coat application of vinyl tile sealer and four coats of a premium floor finish.If desired the tile can be burnished (polished) to a mirror-like shine. Burnishing will also help the finish withstand the daily foot traffic associated with commercial facilities and make your dust mop glide over the floor!

Ceramic, stone and porcelain tile floors are very popular in today’s kitchens, bathrooms and foyers. Dirty grout, however, is not! Using special grout cleaning agents, the hot water produced by my truck mounted cleaning unit, and a special hard surface wand I can restore your grout to look like new again! I’ll actually scrub each and every grout line with a specially designed brush to work the cleaning agent in for maximum removal of all soils. The tiles and stone will be cleaned and rinsed to remove food soils and household soap residues.
TOP Eat, Drink But Be Wary!
Many of today’s popular soft drinks (such as Kool-Aid, etc) have food dyes in them to give the beverage the desired color. If the drink is spilled on your carpet the dyes will actually change the color of the affected fibers. These stains will not come out with the average household spotter. By combining two special, professional, spotters and a true steam-generating unit these stains can be safely removed. (Not recommended for wool rugs).
